I don't take credit for this.
Some Personal notes:

Resources is your best friend. For example; Having access to a private 3rd company network like Equafax or even having LexisNexis access will help gain your information much faster and ensure that it's more
accurate. Another form of doxing (skript kiddie method but effective) have your target back-doored with a rat.

Credits goes to SIRUNNICE@Antisec for allowing me to post this on these forums.

Dox- search for and publish private or identifying information about (a particular individual) on the Internet, typically with malicious intent.

While Doxing is not illegal, what you do with the information might be against the law. That is why I would recommend using a VPN and not using your personal accounts (ex. facebook, google) to look people up.

"Remember, having the tools or even knowing the common techniques won’t make you a doxer. You must pay attention to the details and follow the leads specific to your target. Your own ability to do this will determine the outcome of your results and if you are new to this, it takes practice."

The majority of these work best for US based people

All of the following are free to some extent.

-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/--/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-Tools-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/--/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/--/-/-

-[http://doxbinrqbk7lcslw.onion/] Tor only site. You can store dox's there and upload them. Their first site was taken down about around November 2014, so it might be the same for this. However, good place to but something up. As of 12/12/2014 it is set to read only

-[10minutemail] This is exactly as it sounds. It is a free email you get for 10 minutes. You can also extended the time if you need to. My personal favorite is my10minutemail, however you are free to use whatever you like best.

-[YopMail] An alternative to 10minutemail. The only difference is that the messages is kept for 8 days instead of 10 minutes. Depends on the time interval needed to complete your mission.

-[Phones] You can call using multiple platforms. These include http://knctr.com/free-phone-calls/ and any other you want to find on the internet. For texting, I recommended http://www.textem.net/. Please note, you cannot receive texts back. You can easily google for many other ones as well. There are free receiving online texts, but the normally fail hard. These are all unreliable, so I would suggest using a disposable phone.

-[Fake Name] If you have to create a fake profile to get a dox, I would recommend using [http://www.fakenamegenerator.com]. It is very useful, giving you everything from a fake name, to a fake social security number, to a fake blood type. I would suggest checking it out even if you are not doxing anyone at the moment.

-[http://www.elfqrin.com/hacklab/pages/discard.php] This site allows you to see if a credit card number is legit. Some sites might require one, and a real one, so this lets you see if it actually exists.

-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/Google-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/

I am dedicating an entire section to Google because it is by far your most useful tool. There are a million different uses for it, and I am here to list a few.
-[Quotations ("")] So when you type something into Google, you will be given a million different results. This complicates things because it is impossible it look through every single one. That is why quotations are so useful. To use them, simply do "(#)" and then put any unwanted words afterwards with a - before it. For example, if I am trying to look up a phone number and don't want any reverse phone number BS, I do "(#)" -reverse, -lookup, -results, -directory, -area. Then i might find a Facebook post of where they put up their phone number or a Craigslist add. Using this will narrow down results quickly and is a huge time saver.

-[http://www.googleguide.com/] If you think the quotations were useful, then this will blow your mind. Everything that will help you narrow down your results are in here. I found quotations the most useful, so I wrote up about them. However, there are an unbelievable amount of tools here that can make your search results that much better.

-[Picture Lookup] If you have a picture of the person you are looking for, then you can upload and use the following google search code to lookup other places where the picture might be located.
CODE:
https://www.google.com/searchbyimage?hl=en&safe=off&biw=1920&bih=1080&site=search&image_url=(image location)

-[Email] Obtain the targets e-mail address. Google the user and put @ at the end. Example: 'username' @. This will pull up any POSTS ONLINE by this person if there are any. Sometimes you can social engineer someones e-mail address just by asking for it, or getting it from a friend.

-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/Social Media-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-

-ANY form of Social Media (Facebook, Twitter, Google+ etc). Read through all of their posts. There can be address posts, phone numbers etc. Look at their personal information. If they are a minor, then you will need their parents name to look anything up. Be sure to look at their friends who post on their wall or retweet them a lot. This will help because if the person is cautious, their friends walls/pages might be of more value.

-[Facebook] You can look up their email in Facebook search and find the person's Facebook Page. May contain information such as Phone Numbers, Family Members, and if you are lucky, License plate Numbers (If you find a picture of their car)

-[Twitter] There is a lot of personal information that can be found on Twitter. You can find other sites they are linked to. You can find stuff they like and record it down for future notice.

-[Google+] Yes it can be useful. Many people do not realize it, but they are posting on Google+ often. Every YouTube account is linked to Google+, and unless the user changes the setting, every YouTube comment is posted on their Google+ page.

-[Instagram] Not as useful. However, if you have their pictures, and are having difficulty finding out their Facebook, you can run their pictures through a facial recognizer and might be able to find their Facebook.

-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/Address Lookup-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/

-[whitepages.com] Yellow pages of the internet. Requires their first and last name. Having a location helps narrow down the options. Some of the information may be out of date, but is a good starting tool to look up peoples information. However, it is free.

-[http://www.zabasearch.com] A backup if White Pages fails. Normally doesn't work as well as White Pages, but is worth a shot if White Pages doesn't return the results

-[http://www.411.com] Another good address lookup. Has other functions as well, such as reverse phone number lookup and Find a Business.

-[PayPal]{RISKY} When you have the e-mail of your target, login to PayPal. Transfer .01 USD to the e-mail of your slave. When sent, you will have all of the information on the PayPal account. (Name, address, phone, etc.) But this also looks
rather suspicious and gives them all you account info.

-[https://www.advancedbackgroundchecks.com] Another address search tool. Can tell you who they might know. You can pay for telephone and email information as well.

Code:
-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/Email Address-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/

-[http://www.lullar.com/] An extremely useful site. If you have their email, then you can use this to find what else the persons email is attached to (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, etc). You can also search using their usernames for whatever game or device they are using. Also works for names, but not very well.

-[Facebook] You can search peoples emails in the Facebook bar, and if they put in their email, it will give you their Facebook page.

-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/Ip Address Searching-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-

-[http://whatstheirip.com] "Step 1: Enter your email address below and click "Get Link" Step 2: Send your friend the innocent looking link we provide you Step 3: When your friend, or anyone for that matter, clicks the link, a hidden script will email you their IP address and geo targeting location!" Very useful site. BE AWARE. It will tell them the email it sends the IP too.

-[http://ipaddress.com] Once you get their Ip using http://whatstheirip.com, you can use this to find their Zip, Location and Operating System.

-[http://ns.myip.ms/] Another good tool to look up Ips with. Can also give you phone numbers, OS, Browser and a few other interesting information

-[who.is] IP lookup. There is more information about it below.

-Please realize that if they are using a VPN or proxy when they open the email, it will give you an incorrect place. Also, crosscheck the IP using multiple sources to ensure the location is right.

-This is not super accurate. It will most likely get you within a 100 mile radius. This is more of a starting place to find the State they live in, rather than the exact city.

-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/General Searches-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-

-[pipl.com] Name, Email, Username, Phone look up. VERY USEFUL. Can look up Key Words and link them to twitter posts. Relatively Free

-[spokeo.com] An extremely good lookup for email, Name, Address and Phone Number. It works well but costs money.

-[http://intelius.com] Tells you places where they have lived, places they have worked and who they are related to. Also lists DOB, Phone and Address if you are willing to pay.

-[Who.is] Domain name and Ip search. Only works if they are stupid enough to put all of their information into a domain name.

-[http://checkusernames.com] Can search across many platforms to lookup usernames. Looks up usernames on 160 different Social Networks. Does not include PSN or Xbox Live

-[http://knowem.com] Username and Domain Name search. If you want a extent of information you are going to have to sign up for an account, which is extremely expensive. Little complicated to get the hang of it.

-[http://www.zoominfo.com/-professional] Here you can lookup any persons past career and employment records. Not as useful in the over scheme of things, but never hurts to have more information on someone

-[http://www.jailbase.com] Jail Records. It can be useful for blackmail, but as for finding information such as address and phone number is useless. Also costs $$

-[http://skipease.com/] Sort of a cheat site. Uses several search engine and links you directly to them.

-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/--/-/-/-Picture Lookup-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/

-[www.tineye.com] Picture recognition website. It can see if the picture you found was posted elsewhere (Like another social media website). It can also tell you if the picture is false.

-[Codes] If the person you are looking up has an Instagram, then a easy search method (using webstagram) is
CODE :
http://web.stagram.com/n/(username)
http://(username).imgur.com/

-[Google] If you are using Google Chrome you can simply right click on this avatar and chose the option “Search Google for this image.”, you will then be taken to a Google search result page where you will find links to other websites where the exact or a very similar image has been used, most of the time people have a single “profile picture” that they use everywhere.

-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/Phone Number Lookup-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/

-[http://www.fonefinder.net] Exactly as it sounds. Works Internationally. Will not give you the name of the person, but can narrow it down to a city using the area code. Will also tell you the if it is a land line or mobile phone.

-[http://www.isearch.com] Not very reliable, doesn't always come back with results. But it is worth a shot.

-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-Skype Resolvers/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-

How To Dox Cops:

>>>>How To Dox Cops<<<< [Very Incomplete... Im tired bite me]
Alright, so cops are fucking assholes. Sometimes we need to take them down. We are going to specify on finding the identity of a cop. If you already have his name, then see http://pastebin.com/dgCGAHGp to dox him like a regular person.
------------------
       Laws
------------------
{Massachusetts Law} [m.g.l. c. 66 §10]- This law requires, if requested, that personal records of a department to be given. This includes badge numbers, cruiser numbers etc. Make sure to write this one down, if you get a badge number, easy to find the officer. Example- [https://www.muckrock.com/foi/boston-3/boston-police-department-personnel-roster-1672/] Page- [https://malegislature.gov/Laws/GeneralLaws/PartI/TitleX/Chapter66/Section10]
----------------
      Other
----------------
[Badge Number Lookup]- http://www.usacops.com/ This site is extremely useful. You can look up the badge number of any cop and find his identity. You need to narrow it down to a specific county. As for how accurate it is, I do not know.

The Risks of Doxing
Code:
The Risks of Doxing
------------------------------------------

    Before you think about posting a dox on somone, think of the risks. I only say this becuase I have been busted for doxing before. It was not fun. So read this paste carefully before you think about posting that dox online;

- Releasing the wrong Information
Sometimes you mess up whether it be by using a shitty site to look someone up or by simply mistake. It doesnt matter, make sure you confirm the ALL of the information you are releasing. You can do this by calling the landline number that the address links up to. ALWAYS use other methods of calling these numbers, never use your personal phone or landlind number. Use a anonymous Skype account along with a VPN. You can also use a spoofed phone number if you want, this is usually a paid service and if done right will hide your ass. If you post the wrong address or phone number and these people start getting alot spam calls and pizzas and then they will probly call the cops. If they do this then the cops have an initiative to find out who you are and tell you to take them down. So its important to think about your anonymity and what methods you are using.

-Jail Time
While using the sites that were posted are all legal, there are many ways of doxing someone using illegal methods. If you plan on doing so, then I would suggest using a VPN to help hide anything. If you do get caught, worst case scenerio the cops/feds may be able to charge you with "Cyber Stalking", this can end badly for you if this happens. Lookup 18 USC § 119 for more information.
https://anoninsiders.net/anon-legal-handbook-539/

- Putting a target on your back
You can make enemies easily if you post their information online. If they are good with a computer then you may have one or more enimies online. They will try and retailiate by doxing you back, or taking your website offline with DDoS attacks, or even hacking your shit if they are l33t enough. You might even see 45 pizzas and the SWAT team at your doorstep!
-Blackmail/Trolling
If you intened to blackmail or troll your target, then realize the law inside that. Sending pizza to another house is techniquxly illegal. If you also do this, it will put a larger target on your back.

After Dox
Code:
>>>After Dox<<<

Congratulations, you doxed someone. Now then, what shall we do with the information that we found? Well depending on your needs, you could do different things with the information.

Never use any personal accounts to post information. Use anonymous account and guest accounts to leak the information. This will keep people easily looking up your information.

-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/Operations-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-/-

-If you did it for an OP, then I'm sure your the OP leaders will have instruction of what to do. Most likely they will have you put it in a pastebin or risepad or whatever they are using. Then you did your job and find another target.

-You are the OP Leader. Okay, well I hope you have thought this through already. If not I have a few recommendations for you. Well, more of questions you need to think to yourself.
-What do you intended to do with the information? Are you using it to blackmail, trolling or turning it into the feds. What you are doing with the information will change how you should leak it.
-[Blackmail] Ok, so you might not want to leak this right away. You would want to call their house and inform then of the information you have. Threaten to release it to public, feds or whoever it is.
-[Trolling] Release it at will. Do whatever you want. You are simply having fun with your target so having more people call pizza to them, sign them up for magazines, or however you wish to fuck with your target.
-[Feds] This one is tricky. If do this, I would suggest not posting it online without a second thought. Make sure that your information is correct. You might want to post it on twitter or another form of social media and tag them. You can also email the information to the appropriate agent or whatever the fuck they are called. The right division leader. This would instantly get their attention. Be nice. You are helping them, most likely, so put them on your good side. You don't want to piss them off for no reason. Just because some might be pigs, they are trying to help your OP.

How To Avoid Getting Doxed
Code:
>>>>How to avoid getting Doxed<<<<

Getting Doxed can be a big deal. The following tips will server to protect you from being doxed, but realize that any enterprising individual will eventually be able to pin you down. Welcome to Web 2.0

Dox- search for and publish private or identifying information about (a particular individual) on the Internet, typically with malicious intent.

Realize that if you are doxed, it is not illegal. You cannot have the FBI or police arrest the man for finding out information about you. However, doxing that involves threats of violence or continued harassment is illegal.

Finally, recognize that the following steps only serve to limit exposure to INDIVIDUALS. Any law enforcement agency has tools at their disposal that are not covered here.

Useful tools to avoid getting Doxed:

-[10minutemail] There are a lot of 10 minute mails out there. They all work the same. You simply click on them and you get a free email for 10 minutes. You can also extended the time if you need to. Useful if you want to set up an account with a fake email. This is my personal favorite one, but there are many more out there for you to choose from. [http://www.my10minutemail.com] Free
-[YopMail] An alternative to 10minutemail. The only difference is that the messages is kept for 8 days instead of 10 minutes. Depends on the time interval needed to complete your mission.
-[Disposable Phones] This prevents people tracking your phone number down to you. Sold in a lot of places and not too expensive.
-[Exif Data] If you share pictures, be sure to strip the pictures of exif data. (Google it if you don't know what that means.) It doesn't matter how you're sharing the pics; be sure to strip them of data before sharing. Exif data can be as unique as a fingerprint. A sure way of making sure all the data is gone is by switching .jpegs to .pngs. There is also anonymizer tools(comes with Tails OS by defult) that shreds any info on pix.
Understand that whenever a picture is taken from any phone nowadays leaves a gps marker. Make sure to prevent it from ever reaching the internet. There are those who may choose to stalk you with that information.

Some useful tips to avoiding getting Doxed:

#1- Search yourself up. Use every link possible to find information about yourself. You can use varying degrees of information in each link, depending on how anonymous you want to remain. If you find information on yourself that is accurate, figure out how to change it immediately.

#2- Social Media. Having any form of social media (Facebook, Twitter, Google+) that is linked to your personal life is a bad idea. IF YOU ARE SERIOUS ABOUT NOT GETTING DOXED, YOU WILL DELETE EVERYTHING LINKED TO YOUR PERSONAL LIFE. If you decide to keep it, there will be tips down below on how to avoid getting doxed with them.

#3- Don't be a dumbass. Giving out personal information is the way to get caught. If someone asks for it, tell them to shove it and move along.
#4- Use common usernames and don't repeat usernames. This makes it harder to gather all of your information and makes the doxer use multiple tools to find you.

#5- Never connect usernames to gamertags and vice versa. One real life example is of Anon "Nerdo" who was caught because the police were able to connect his gamertag to him and then connect him to #OpPaypal.

#6- If you are truly serious about operational security, considering full harddrive encryptions incase shits hits the fan. Study up also on encryption methos that protects your incoming and outgoing trafics from your computure into the worldwide web. As a side note, the most vulnerable part of any connection is at the local level.

#7- A tool to remove exif data from your pictures can be found here: https://mat.boum.org/

#8- Google your SSN to check if it has been leaked

#9- Before ordering something online, check the company on sites like trustpilot.com. If you are ordering from a site, which is false they could use your credit card against you. If they have your credit card info, they can get access to alot of information about you.

#10- Remember also to hide your IP address. You can do that by using a VPN or just by using Tor.

#11- Call your mobile carrier and tell them not to post your number on sites like whitepages.

#12- If you cant delete a account, then change the name, picture, info and everything else about that account.

#13- Search your own name at sites like pipl.com to check what there is possible to find about you online. This can also help you, to see which accounts you need to delete.

#14- Don't click on random links. If you do, you could be getting viruses that reveal your personal information, give your IP away and countless other things.

#15- Don't make enemies. If you dont make enemies you wont get doxed.

-For all social media site, you should use a fake email. The easiest and one of the most accessible one is 10minutemail. There are many sites dedicated to 10minutemail and all of them work.

-[Facebook] Don't use Facebook. However, if you're reading this, you probably use FB. Get rid of it. If you decide to keep it (God forbid!), there are several things necessary to keep your Facebook secure.
        1. No profile picture. This will make it more difficult for facial recognition sites to identify you.
        2. No "About" Information. This includes emails, phone numbers and any other form of contact.
        3. Make friends list private. Even you all of your information is secure, doesn't mean your friends are.
        4. Use an alias. If you change your last name, it makes it that much harder to find you.
        5. Don't list any family members. It gives away your alias and shows people more information about you.
        6. No public posts. Does not matter how general or meaningless it is. The simplest thing can give you away.
        7. You can view your wall as a public figure or as a specific friend. I would recommend doing this to see if you
missed anything or have other information you wish to make private.

-[Twitter] Twitter is a little better than Facebook, as it doesn't have a "wall" displaying all of your information. Plus it is less friend based than FB.
        1. De-link it from Facebook. (Or better, use an alias and an alternate email.)
        2. Make your twitter private so people cannot see all of your tweets. [http://www.wikihow.com/Make-Your-Twitter-Account-Private] Here is how to do it with pictures. Be sure you know the person before you confirm.
        3. Don't retweet your friends. It leads Doxers to your friends and they might be linked to FB or other Social Medias
        4. Don't post pictures of any personal stuff or information.
        5. If you are thinking of managing an account for any anonymous organisations be it for your own use or with others. ALWAYS remember to take proper steps to ensure there is no traces back to you or your mates.

-[Instagram] Ew no. What are you, a camwhore? Some sort of haxxor 12 y.o.? Do not use Instagram. Go join /soc/ on halfchan if you want to be that kind of attention whore.

-[Google+, Youtube] Okay, this one is hard. I would highly suggest not using anything that is linked to google. This would include Youtube, gmail and Google+. Because these are all linked together, it is hard to hide everything. But if you decide to keep a google account (Why the fuck would you though) here are a few tips to keep you concealed.
            1. Don't post to Youtube. Don't comment on Youtube. Do not do anything with Youtube without opening a separate secure browser that isn't signed in to gmail, Google+, or Google Drive.
            2. Alter your settings so that everything is explicitly private: search history, profile history, game history, phone history, location history. EVERYTHING.
            3. Be careful of how you use your mobile devices and google services. If you have any Android type phone, you are using Google, whether or not your realize it. Make sure to change the settings on your phone.
            4. Make sure, under no circumstances you confirm any account with a text message. Your number will be added to that account and if doxed. Expect pizzas.
            5. Should you neeed to confirm any text messages for any reasons, there are website designed for those situations in mind. Go to one, enter the number on the screen and it will relay the code/confirmation/whatever to the webpage.

Awesome information! I saved this so I could read later, and now I finally got a chance to check it out.
I got a question/concern if anyone here can clarify:

-After you get all the information and you decide to post it, in what way does the person get affected? So what happens to them after you leak their information publicly? I'm going to guess that independent individuals will take matters into their own hands, using harassment methods such as prank calls, pizza orders, and maybe even swatting. Please let me know if I am correct in my assumption.

How would you react if every single information of you and your family was online publicly & you can't do anything about it?
This doesn't just include your sister's Facebook name but private pictures (eg: nudes, conversations that should never been shown publicly, etc)

The options are endless, you can add anything to it, I'm pretty sure there is information you don't want to published publicly.

Thanks for the analogy, I guess I wouldn't feel comfortable, but then again I would also not give 2 shits since it's mostly psychological attack on your sense of personal welfare. So when this information is publicized, does the victim receive a link, so he knows he's doxed? Because one cannot react to something they're not aware of.

I don't dox so I do not know, I suppose it's a private/hidden link (let's say pastebin) at first, blackmailing -> achieved = remove dox // failed = make pastebin public?

I'm very suprised Maltego was not mentioned anywhere here. I personally met the developers and it's an amazing piece of software!
